2009 - 2010 Due Dates in PowerTeacher Gradebook (adjusted due to snow days)



Due to the number of snow days in our 2009 - 2010 school year, the MCVSD has adjusted dates in Semester 2, Marking Period 3 and Marking Period 4.

Be sure to note these adjusted dates when adding assignments and their corresponding due dates in PowerTeacher Gradebook. For an overview of due dates in PowerTeacher Gradebook (Gradebook assignment due date versus real-world date), please click here.

 

PowerTeacher Gradebook Reporting Term changes made as of 3/9/2010 (affecting quarter-long, semester-long, and year-long courses) are listed below:

Quarter-long classes in Marking Period 3 use the following Reporting Terms in PowerTeacher Gradebook:

Q3: 1/25/2010 - 4/11/2010

F1: 4/12/2010 - 4/13/2010

Y1: 1/25/2010 - 4/13/2010

Example for quarter-long classes in Marking Period 3:
Any regular classroom assignment needs to have a due date in the gradebook between 1/25/2010 and 4/11/2010 to contribute towards the Q3 Reporting Term.
Any final exam given should have a due date between 4/12/2010 and 4/13/2010 to contribute towards the F1 Reporting Term.
Typically, the Q3 and F1 Reporting Term will both contribute towards the calculation of the Y1 overall course grade (such as 90% for Q3 and 10% for F1).

Quarter-long classes in Marking Period 4 use the following Reporting Terms in PowerTeacher Gradebook:

Q4: 4/14/2010 - 6/21/2010

F1: 6/22/2010 - 6/30/2010

Y1: 4/14/2010 - 6/30/2010

Example for quarter-long classes in Marking Period 4:
Any regular classroom assignment needs to have a due date in the gradebook between 4/14/2010 and 6/21/2010 to contribute towards the Q4 Reporting Term.
Any final exam given should have a due date between 6/22/2010 and 6/30/2010 to contribute towards the F1 Reporting Term.
Typically, the Q4 and F1 Reporting Term will both contribute towards the calculation of the Y1 overall course grade (such as 90% for Q4 and 10% for F1).

Semester-long courses in Semester 2 use the following Reporting Terms in PowerTeacher Gradebook:

Q3: 1/25/2010 - 4/11/2010

M1: 4/12/2010 - 4/13/2010

Q4: 4/14/2010 - 6/21/2010

F1: 6/22/2010 - 6/30/2010

Y1: 1/25/2010 - 6/30/2010

Example for semester-long classes in Semester 2:
Any regular classroom assignment needs to have a due date in the gradebook between 1/25/2010 and 4/11/2010 to contribute towards the Q3 Reporting Term.
Any mid-term exam given should have a due date between 4/12/2010 and 4/13/2010 to contribute towards the M1 Reporting Term.
Any regular classroom assignment needs to have a due date in the gradebook between 4/14/2010 and 6/21/2010 to contribute towards the Q4 Reporting Term.
Any final exam given should have a due date between 6/22/2010 and 6/30/2010 to contribute towards the F1 Reporting Term.
Typically, the Q3, M1, Q4, and F1 Reporting Terms will contribute towards the calculation of the Y1 overall course grade (such as 40% for Q3, 10% for M1, 40% for Q4, and 10% for F1).

Year-long courses in 2009 - 2010 use the following Reporting Terms in PowerTeacher Gradebook:

Q3: 1/25/2010 - 4/13/2010

Q4: 4/14/2010 - 6/21/2010

F1: 6/22/2010 - 6/30/2010

Y1: 9/1/2009 - 6/30/2010

Example for year-long classes in 2009-2010:
Any regular classroom assignment needs to have a due date in the gradebook between 1/25/2010 and 4/13/2010 to contribute towards the Q3 Reporting Term.
Any regular classroom assignment needs to have a due date in the gradebook between 4/14/2010 and 6/21/2010 to contribute towards the Q4 Reporting Term.
Any final exam given should have a due date between 6/22/2010 and 6/30/2010 to contribute towards the F1 Reporting Term.
Typically, the Q1, Q2, M1, Q3, Q4, and F1 Reporting Terms will contribute towards the calculation of the Y1 overall course grade (such as 20% for Q1, 20% for Q2, 10% for M1, 20% for Q3, 20% for Q4, and 10% for F1).
