College Finance Nights

There was some confusion over the dates and locations of the college finance presentations this fall. While the website has now been updated, let me just be sure to clarify that the FAFSA Night for Senior parents is being held at HTHS on Tuesday, October 7th at 7:00 pm. College Funding Night took place last night at BTHS and we had an excellent turnout. Many thanks to our guidance counselors for organizing this event and to our presenter, Bill Lynch, for an informative evening.

HSPA - March 2009 !!!

The HTHS calendar had listed dates next week for the HSPA. This is incorrect, as these dates are only for makeups of the test from Spring 2008. Our testng for Juniors will take place in accordance with the state schedule, which is March 3rd through 5th, 2009. The information has been updated on the web calendar.

Sorry for any confusion (or PANIC). : )

Back to School Night

Thank you all who attended Back to School Night last night. It was great to see such a "full house". I hope that the evening was informative and that you left feeling secure in the capable hands of our outstanding faculty. As always, feel free to reach out to your child's teachers via e-mail or voicemail if you have any concerns or questions. Please remember also to support the PFA Super Raffle as the benefits for our students are numerous.

Welcome Back !!!

We had a great first two days to open the 2008-09 school year. In addition to shortened periods so that students could walk through their full schedule, all upperclass students had an opportunity to interact with the freshmen class outside (and we were really blessed with great weather). Many thanks to the PFA (especially hospitality chair, Penny Mueller) for hosting an amazing pizza lunch for all of us on Friday afternoon, with "make your own ice cream sundaes" to cap it off. We had a GREAT turnout of parents to help out and I look forward to all that additional assistance and input throughout the year.

Students all received their agenda books at the end of the day Friday. Please be sure to review the parent/student handbook contained within and to return the agreement form that was mailed out with your welcome packets in late August. A 'pdf' copy of the handbook is also available on the website.
