This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Includes instruction in brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains, and heating and air condition systems. Automotive Services is a program designed to train students for entry-level employment in the automotive maintenance & repair industry or preparing students for entrance into a post-secondary training program.

Automotive Services Maintenance & Light Repair curriculum includes:

  • The opportunity to test for and receive the student ASE Certification

  • Use of hand, power tools, & shop equipment

  • Using electronic service information

  • Preventative maintenance & lubrication services

  • Tire Service

  • Basic computer controls

  • Engine tune–up

  • Disc brake service

  • Battery service

  • Steering & Suspension service

  • Engine Performance

  • Electrical/Electronics theory

  • Engine Repair

  • Heating & Air Conditioning
