Battalion Staff

The Battalion Staff members are excellent Senior cadets within the Battalion who have demonstrated high standards of leadership. If you have questions regarding their department or division or a topic that falls within it they are all more than willing to help answer questions to the best of their abilities.

Battalion Commander

My name is c/CDR Nick Billows, and I am from Ocean Township, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. As Commanding Officer, I am responsible for the unit’s overall successes and shortfalls, working closely with my senior staff and Naval Science Instructors to solve problems, provide insights, and support the development of the unit and fellow cadets. I stay involved both in and out of uniform. Outside of NJROTC, I am an Eagle Scout and a faithful member of my Greek Orthodox Church and local community. I will be attending the United States Naval Academy in the fall and will pursue a career in the naval service.

Battalion Executive Officer

My name is c/LCDR Andrew Viggiano, and I am from Ocean Township, New Jersey. I am the MAST Deputy Battalion Commander / Battalion Executive Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. My billet entails overseeing the Battalion Departments, including Operations, Training, Administration, Supply, and Community Affairs. I supervise the Department Officers who actively complete their invaluable roles to the Battalion and help to prepare for our Annual Military Inspection. I am responsible for knowing everything that goes on within the Battalion. As the second in command, I ensure that I am prepared to fulfill the role of Battalion Commander in their absence. Additionally, as a member of the Battalion Triad, I hold myself to a high standard and act as a mentor and model for my peers throughout the school year. Outside of the NJROTC, I love to run track and field. I am a 110-meter high hurdler. In college, I plan to major in Biology with the goal of becoming a veterinarian.

Battalion Command Master Chief Petty Officer

 My name is c/MCPO Argie Loucopoulos, and I am from Middletown, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Command Master Chief for the 2025-2026 school year. As the CMC, I work with all of the battalion enlisted, but most closely with the Chiefs. I also supervise and help my Sound Petty Officers set up sound equipment for Battalion B-schedules, train enlisted for drill-like movements, and help with any small tasks within the Staff. Outside of the Battalion, I love to play volleyball and basketball or hang out with friends. I also love to be involved in my Greek Orthodox community, especially in Greek dance. In college, I plan on majoring in Biomedical Engineering.

Battalion Operations Officer

My name is c/LT Samantha Foret, and I am from Middletown, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Operations Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. In this role, I have multiple responsibilities, including creating the Plan of the Week, organizing Flag Detail, working on the NJROTC portion of the website, and supporting the Battalion Staff. I also participate in the school's Drill team as a competitor and a Freshman advisor. However, I enjoy staying active outside of the NJROTC as well. I am currently the Key Club and NHS president, and I am a member of my school's Varsity Track Team. Additionally, I will be attending the United States Naval Academy to hopefully become an Aviator.

Battalion Training Officer

My name is c/LT Donovan Post, and I am from Oceanport, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Training Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. In this role, I have 3 main responsibilities: head of the Training Department, director of training for Key Players, and coordinator of PT tests for ROTC scholarships and service academies. As the head of the Training Department, I oversee the Athletics, Academics, Orienteering, and Drill divisions, and ensure that those division officers are on track and have what they need. Key Players at MAST are the company/platoon commanders and guides. It is my responsibility to create times for them to practice leading up to AMI. For seniors applying for ROTC scholarships and service academies, I poll who needs to take PT tests and coordinate between our SNSI and applicants to get each test done promptly. In my personal life, I enjoy snowboarding, playing Madden, and going to the gym.

Battalion Administrative Officer

My name is c/LT Maggie Law, and I am from Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Administrative Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. My billet entails inputting cadet information into CDMIS, maintaining and organizing the filing cabinet, and handling physical records and files. I also record meeting minutes at staff meetings, update the magnet board in the Naval Science Office, hand out promotions and awards at ceremonies, and ensure that the Administration Binder is up to date. Outside of school, I love to play field hockey, hang out with my friends, and read, and I plan on majoring in Kinesiology/Exercise Science next year.

Battalion Supply Officer

My name is c/LT Anya Shah, and I am from Holmdel, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Supply Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. My main job is to oversee and direct all operations of the Supply Department, which includes all uniform-related functions. I am both excited to make a lasting impact on the Supply Department by working with my peers to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of my department for next year’s staff. I also enjoy biking and am a very avid reader, always looking to learn!

Battalion Community Affairs Officer

My name is c/LT Samantha Vo, and I am from Roosevelt, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Community Affairs Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. This billet consists of collecting and organizing all cadets' community service hours, sending this report to the NSIs, adding to the Community Affairs Binder, and ensuring photos are taken and released from each event. At the beginning of each month and throughout the school year, I post community service events to ensure the cadets are staying active in the community. I also oversee the Public Affairs, ensuring that a Video Petty Officer is present at each MAST event to take photos. Outside of school I participate in drill, Girl Scouts, mountain biking, and aid in children’s church. I intend to pursue a major in aerospace engineering and a career in the military using a ROTC scholarship.

Battalion Drill Commander

My name is c/LTJG Kevin Madeira, and I am from Howell, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Drill Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. As the Drill Commander, I am charged with the training of the Drill Team, a competition team of roughly 80 cadets actively participating. We compete in multiple meets throughout Area 2 and participate in parades around Monmouth County for numerous holidays. Outside of NJROTC, I am a Varsity Track athlete at Howell High School and am an active member of my Roman Catholic Church, Saint Veronica’s. In college, I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering and pursuing a career in the US Navy. 

Battalion Personal Officer

My name is c/LT Layla Greenleaf, and I am from Millstone Township, New Jersey. I am the MAST Battalion Personnel Officer for the 2025-2026 school year. My billet includes maintaining rosters, platoon assignments, attendance at B-schedules, and organizing platoons into height order. I also create and maintain the Alpha Roster, Company Rosters, and Muster Sheets, which are used during battalion functions. I work closely with the Mustering Petty Officers to ensure that everyone is accounted for. I look forward to having a successful year and continuing to grow the department! Outside of NJROTC, I am involved with the marching band and basketball team at Allentown High School as well as various clubs around campus, such as Technology Student Association and the academic teams. 

Headquarter Company Commander 

My name is c/LT Jacob Booth, and I am from Tinton Falls, New Jersey. I am the Headquarters Company Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. I am in charge of training and preparing approximately 50 cadets for our school’s Annual Military Inspection, while also continually setting the standard for our school every day. This job entails being a key player during battalion B-schedules, directing and leading my company staff, and serving as a role model and leader throughout the school year. Some activities I enjoy are camping, woodworking, and drill. ROLL HQ!!

Alpha Company Commander

My name is c/LT Christine DeFalco, and I am from Tinton Falls, NJ. I am the Alpha Company Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. I lead a company of about 40 other students and am directly responsible for their training and the overall unit's success. I am responsible for training and preparing about 40 cadets for our school’s Annual Military Inspection. Outside of the NJROTC, I am involved in varsity soccer at Monmouth Regional, Key Club, and the drill team here.

Bravo Company Commander

My name is c/LT Christina Walker, and I am from Middletown, New Jersey. I am the Bravo Company Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. My job in the battalion mainly consists of commanding cadets in Bravo Company during B-schedules, holding company meetings during lunch, teaching underclassman cadets basic marching, preparing our company for Annual Military Inspection, and serving as a role model for all cadets. Outside of school, I love to hang out with my friends, be active in things including rock climbing, hiking, and skiing, and I love to do hands-on activities like Legos, art, and puzzles.

Charlie Company Commander

My name is c/LT Jenny Ye, and I am from Highlands, New Jersey. I am the Charlie Company Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. My responsibilities mainly consist of training the cadets in Charlie Company for the battalion’s Annual Military Inspection, ensuring that they are well-versed in knowledge, skilled in marching, and squared away. I also take part in the management of B-schedules, company meetings, and other battalion events. Outside of the unit, I enjoy playing volleyball, golfing, rock climbing, and skiing. In college, I aim to major in aerospace engineering and pursue a career in military aviation. 

Delta Company Commander

My name is c/LT Devin Schultz, and I am from Ocean Township, New Jersey. I am the Delta Company Commander for the 2025-2026 school year. My job includes carrying out the Battalion Commander's orders for Delta Company, such as mustering all the cadets for B-schedules, issuing orders to my company staff, maintaining company pride, and marching as the head of Delta Company. The company has about 50 cadets, and I am responsible for leading them to ensure unit success. Outside of the NJROTC, I throw the javelin as part of the Ocean Township High School Track Team. I also participated in the BSA, formerly in charge of the scouts of Troop 71.
