The Academics Division focuses on developing cadets' knowledge of Naval Science, current events, and leadership. Cadets compete in academic competitions at Drill Meets, similar to drill competitions but with knowledge-based challenges and tests. Cadets apply what they learn in class to real-world scenarios. Academics frequently places top in the country at the Area meet and ranked 4th in the nation for Navy teams at Joint Leadership and Academic Bowl Nationals in 2024 and 2025. This division helps encourage knowledge growth and critical thinking, and also prepares cadets for the future and problem-solving.
