MAST welcomed Rear Admiral Matthew T. Pottenburgh, Commander of Naval Service Training Command, to campus on Sept. 16. Admiral Pottenburgh recognized MAST’s Naval Junior ROTC program for having an unprecedented seven students from last year’s class accepted to prestigious U.S. service academies and for being a Distinguished Unit with Academic Honors for 42 consecutive years. He also personally presented awards to cadets as part of the unit’s quarterly awards ceremony.
