Licensed Practical Nursing

Adult Education Practical Nursing Program:

  • Academic studies and clinical experience to prepare students to meet NJ State requirements for licensure as a Practical Nurse.

  • Approved by the NJ State Board of Nursing, NJ Department of Education, and Council on Occupational Education.

  • Accredited by Middle States.

  • Graduates eligible for the NCLEX Practical Nursing Licensure Examination in NJ.

  • Program start: September 2026, 10-month course.

  • Class schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30am–2:30pm at Neptune Annex; clinical locations vary.

Program Phases

Phase I – Classroom & Clinical:
Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Nutrition, Personal & Community Health, Pharmacology, Growth & Development, Personal & Professional Relationships, Fundamentals of Nursing, Vocational Aspects

Phase II – Clinical & Classroom:
Medical/Surgical Nursing I & II

Phase III – Clinical & Classroom:
Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Psychiatric Nursing

Entrance Test Requirements

  • TEAS test via Brookdale Community College Remote Testing: Instructions

  • Scores must be in the “Proficient” range for all subjects.

  • Send a screenshot or copy of your results via email: annex-office@ctemc.org

Tuition & Financial Information

Tuition: $12,500

  • Tuition payable in installments; financial aid, grants, and veteran benefits may apply.

  • Refunds honored per Board policy.

  • Not included in tuition:

    • Clinical/Classroom uniforms

    • Student medical kit

    • Complete physical examination

    • Criminal background check

    • Books

    • CPR certification

  • 18 years of age at program start

  • CPR for Healthcare Provider certification

  • $100 non-refundable registration fee after passing qualifying test
