Adult Cosmetology
Cosmetologists play an important role in society by helping people look and feel their best. They also are taking over social media feeds, as many cosmetologists showcase their talents to gain a following and grow their business. Monmouth County Vocational School District offers a 10-month course that prepares graduates to meet requirements for licensing exams administered by the State Board of Hairstyling and Cosmetology. The MCVSD Adult Cosmetology program is approximately half the cost of a private cosmetology school and enjoys 100 percent placement for students who complete the program and licensing requirements.
Benefits:
Tuition is approximately half the cost of private cosmetology schools
100 percent job placement for students who graduate and complete licensure
For the past five years, 100 percent pass rate on the New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology Theory and Practical Exams

Ten-month program (September–June) offers quick transition into a new, rewarding career
Financial aid and flexible payment plan available
Weekly Open Cosmetology Clinic for students to gain experience practicing their skills on the public
Testimonials:
“From learning the basics in class to styling the principal’s daughter from my cosmetology school, I couldn’t be more grateful for this full circle moment. To the students sitting where I once was, stay passionate, stay consistent, and it will all be worth it!”
